Well I watched the second presidential debate last night; time shifted of course because I had it recorded on the TiVo. I heard through the internet and Tonight Show jokes that during the first debate George W. Bush really sucked. Yeah, I heard he kept making his every reply to various questions "well it takes a lot of hard work" or some such redundant thing. Anyway it wasn't hard for me to believe that Bush befuddled speaking in this instance, because speaking is something that one most certainly can tell does not come natural to Bush. I believe Bush has already had a well documented record of trouble with public speaking and a bit of a struggle when coming to terms with terms and such. This must have become only more apparent because he presumably, and I feel obviously, did not adequately prepare for the first debate for some reason. Whatever the reasons, all of whom I've talked to both Republican and Democrat thought that Bush should have done better in the first debate.

I have not seen Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 but several friends offered me to see it with them in the theater and I've heard a lot of buzz about it. My main reason for not going to see this film is that I saw Bowling for Columbine, a "documentary" also done by Mr. Moore. What I have gathered of the man and and the films he produces is that he is both a propagandist and a very good story teller. If he was as far right as he is far left he could make Hitler look like a cuddly teddy bear and get people to actually believe it. I mean to complement the man on his persuasive techniques but I also mean to point out that he isn't exactly using his powers for good. Sure I'll eventually see Fahrenheit 9/11, but when I do I will make sure not to let a penny of my money fall into Moore's pockets lest I support him indirectly. The totality of my feelings toward this movie are most eloquently explained in this article.
Also, websites of related interest are http://www.bowlingfortruth.com/ and http://www.moorewatch.com/. By the way, although I am not representing a balanced argument there are other sites out there that state contrarian views, but I have done my homework. I claim not to be a pure Democrat nor a pure Republican but more of a realist, perhaps even Libertarian. What I find is that many times the Republicans are living in reality while the Democrat's idealism stretch them too far into their own delusions. And for the last time, communism does not work!!!, and socialism is a subset of communism, etc. etc. Believe it or not and contrary to popular liberal belief bin Laden does not care about ANY American's life regardless of whether a liberal cares about his, and religious fanaticism is not something that should ever be tolerated. Yes, this is called "reality" people.
I may have been very generalized with my statements and I'm bound to create a flame war over what I've said, but at the moment... the right is right :-) And Moore is an ass. And Bush will finish what he started in Iraq and it will be better than before, while Kerry would just cut and run because he's a political flip-flopper who can't take the heat of the latest polls. At least Bush's integrity helps him pick grounds with which to stand on and then he sticks it out. For better or worse, that is what a real leader does. Alright, I'm done ranting, for the moment...
