 Well the LAN went ok with a maximum of 9 people who showed up. We played little bit of this and a little bit of that; going through CS, DOD, UT2004, and even Star Craft. It was alright but I think more people is better for next time, and maybe a little bit of compromise on what games to play wouldn't hurt. I mean, my god, why must it always be Counter-Strike? It was still a good time though and I hope to see some of the same people for the hopefully upcoming Uberlan.
Old News:
LAN Party at where I work (click here for directions) on 07/09/2004 starting at 5:00pm. All who need some summer LAN party action are welcome to join in :-) Post about it here. I'm hoping to get around 10 people total, so it will be a nice small LAN, easy to manage. Feel free to invite your friends. The cover charge will be $10 for the night and bring money for food like pizza if you want that too. There will also be snacks sold at the facilities. Some of the games we will be playing are Command and Conquer Generals, Day Of Defeat, and Unreal 2004. As always bring any games you want to play and if enough people are interested we'll play it also. The hosting place has a 100/1000Mbit local network and a T3 connection to the internet. There will be eight 3Ghz computers provided for those who do not want to BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer). But there is a catch if you want to use the ones provided because they have a graphics card only suited for Half-Life and Quake III and you can't install new games on them that aren't already installed.
